Neighborhood

The home is just a few steps from the beachfront and a short stroll to the village of East Wittering.

You’ll find everything you need in the nearby village of East Wittering, with a fishmonger, butchers, bakers, a pharmacy, greengrocers and two supermarkets. There is also a wide choice of cafes, restaurants, gift shops and ice cream parlours.

We are fortunate in the area with numerous great pubs to choose from! The Lamb (West Wittering), The Shore (East Wittering) and The Wittering (West Wittering) to name a few.

There are water-based activities such as kite surfing, kayaking and paddleboard hire for the adventurous types in your group. You can walk to the sandy dunes at West Wittering beach from the house along the coastal path.

The cathedral city of Chichester is a short drive away and has a wide range of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. The well-known Festival Theatre is home to many national tours and popular performances.

If you’re in the area for horse racing at Goodwood, the Festival of Speed or The Revival, the venue is only 20 minutes drive from the house.

Transit

With the beach and village so nearby you won’t have a lot of need for traveling around. We find that if you would like to explore the wider Chichester area, a car is best. Otherwise there are bus stops in the village and a train station in Chichester to get around the whole South Coast, with direct links to London too.

Dogs are welcome! Please keep dogs off furniture and downstairs. Please clean up after them, both in the garden and on the beach.
