Goodwood Revival

11 – 13 September 2020 (tickets now on sale)

“Give me Goodwood on a summer’s day and you can forget the rest of the world” – Roy Salvadori.

Let Goodwood Revival take you back in time as the only historic race meeting to be staged in period theme. Experience the glamour and romance that motor racing used to be both on and off the track, with thrilling races, a vintage funfair and paddocks lined with some of the world’s most stunning classic cars.

With 2020’s theme yet to be announced, 2019 was a celebration of the Beetles with a focus on the 1960s, including a fashion show and best dressed award.

Ending the Goodwood motoring calendar of the year with a pop and a bang, Revival spans over three days, each packed with racing action. Get up close to hundreds of rare and priceless cars, driven by champions past and present.

First glance Friday is qualifying day and offers the chance to preview all the cars, bikes and aircraft, followed by celebrations into the evening.

Sensational Saturday offers a full day of thrilling racing, including the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy bike race and the St Mary’s Trophy saloon car race.

Super Sunday is sure to serve a packed final day of thrilling racing, followed by a prize giving ceremony for weekend winners.

Revival highlights

Although historic motor racing is the central focus of the weekend, the event offers so much more for all the family to enjoy.

Period themed dress and fashion

How often do you get the chance to go back in time to the 30s, 40s, 50s or beyond for a day? Dress up and immerse yourself in the action. Depending on your era, think tweed and trilbies, fur and frocks, sixties boots, pinned up hair or red lipstick. Watch spectacular fashion shows, with models and dancers displaying true and ‘inspired by’ vintage collections, all to live music.

Over the Road

Literally ‘over the road’ from track side you’ll find plenty of entertainment for the whole family. With a vintage fairground featuring a big wheel, helter-skelter and carousel, and a vintage outdoor cinema, the fun continues long after the racing is over. Knock down some coconuts, browse the vintage stalls and dance to big bands late into the night.

Explore the history of aviation

Get the opportunity to see some of the world’s most elegant and rarely-seen pre-1966 aircraft both on the ground and in the sky over the three-day event.

Swing and jive

Music and dancing from all eras echoes around the whole festival. Sit and enjoy a drink while watching a big band or join in with some swing and jive.

Fresh Air suggests…

  • Although tickets are pricey, children aged 12 and under are free, and those aged between 13 and 21 go half price.
  • For those looking for something a bit special, Goodwood offers tailored hospitality packages. Enjoy incredible trackside viewing, and delicious food and drink, all in one of the estate’s private settings. See the website for more details.
  • Fresh Air has a number of holiday properties close to Goodwood Estate. Book early, as accommodation in the area notoriously becomes full for miles around during the Revival weekend.
