Space

Shell Seekers is an amazing family house with a unique history. It’s actually built around a classic railway carriage, which dates back to the 1920s. Extensively modernised and extended over the years, the house is now a luxurious beachfront retreat for up to 9 guests.

And when we say beachfront, we mean it. Enjoy panoramic sea views from many of the home’s rooms and direct access to the beach through its beautiful garden. With so much to see and enjoy, let’s start a quick tour of this Bracklesham Bay beauty by the beach.

LIVING/DINING
There are three living spaces to gather, relax or socialise.

Downstairs lounge/diner with bi-fold doors out to the rear decking and beach.
Upstairs lounge with extensive balcony and panoramic sea views
Sunroom at the front of the home, ideal for a quiet coffee or reading away from the main hub of the house.

All have comfortable seating on which you can kickback and unwind after a day exploring the area or swimming in the pool. Each lounge has a Smart TV to enjoy a film or favourite show.

The downstairs lounge also has a dining table with space for everyone to gather over good food and drink.

MODERN KITCHEN
The spacious, fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare drinks, snacks and meals, including an Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, double oven, dishwasher and hob.

4 BEDROOMS
The house has four beautiful bedrooms.

Bedroom 1: king size bed with ensuite and dressing room (ground floor with direct access to the garden/beach)
Bedroom 2: double (ground floor)
Bedroom 3: bunk bed with pull out trundle bed to sleep 3 children (ground floor)
Bedroom 4: king size bedroom with en-suite panoramic sea views and balcony access (upper floor)

All rooms are gloriously comfortable with plenty of storage space for your belongings.

BATHROOMS
Take your pick from a stylish bath tub in which you can relax in bubbles, or standalone showers that will invigorate you at the start or end of the day. There are various bathrooms and dressing facilities that are available on both floors of this stunning home by the sea.

INDOOR POOL
Fancy a dip before breakfast or a refreshing swim in the afternoon? Undoubtedly one of the highlights of this home is its 25ft heated indoor swimming pool. Enjoy the chance to relax in private around and in this beautiful pool, always a popular feature for guests of all ages. And it’s all yours.

OUTSIDE SPACE
The inside is certainly impressive, and so are the outside spaces. As well as the extensive balcony on the upper floor, at the back of the house there’s a large decked area with plenty of seating space for everyone to gather, soak up the sun and enjoy the views. There’s also a garden which gives you direct access to Bracklesham Bay beach.

As the evening comes, enjoy unspoilt sunset views while you enjoy a glass of wine. Children will find joy roasting marshmallows at the fire pit before heading to bed and dreaming of tomorrow’s adventures at Shell Seekers.

Transit

With your own free parking space as part of the house, driving here is a good option, as it gives you the freedom to explore the area at your own pace. Or you can always order taxis if you’d prefer someone else to do the driving for a change. Should you wish to use public transport, there’s a bus stop within a 15 minute walk of the house with regular services into Chichester. In Chichester, there’s a mainline train station which can link you to various destinations across southern England, including Brighton, Portsmouth and London.

Neighborhood

Welcome to the south coast of England. Shell Seekers is situated in the picturesque coastal village of Bracklesham Bay. As you’ll be able to see from the living rooms and some of the bedrooms, there’s a beautiful pebbled beach which you can directly access from the house.

Bracklesham Bay has its own convenience store, co-op, a fantastic beachfront café, artisan coffee shop, and fish & chip shop – all within easy walking distance of Shell Seekers.

Also close by is the village of East Wittering (25 minute walk or 5 minute drive). There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops here, including two supermarkets, two great butchers, a fishmongers, pharmacy and barbers.

You can also hire paddle boards and kayaks from Shore Boards if some in your group are feeling particularly adventurous.

Other attractions nearby that can be easily accessed from Shell Seekers include:

The city of Chichester – enjoy a wide range of shops and restaurants, plus the beautiful cathedral and all kinds of shows and performances at the Festival Theatre.

Goodwood – the famous racecourse hosts meetings from May to October, including the world famous Glorious Goodwood. The area is also home to a series of motor sport events at different times of the year, including the Festival of Speed.
