One of the most beautiful parts of the South Coast, West Wittering attracts locals and tourists alike thanks to it’s accessible, golden sand beach.

Comprising of West and East Wittering and Bracklesham Bay, ‘The Witterings’ has much to offer in terms of water sports, beaches, eateries, and walks. The Witterings also has an abundance of holiday lets, ranging from static caravans to beachfront mansions. With over three miles of accessible beaches – from the stony shores of Bracklesham to the white sands of West Wittering – the area attracts water sport enthusiasts, families, dog walkers, and bird watchers. From the hustle and bustle of the village shops and lively pubs to the quieter shoreline and tranquil walks around East Head, it’s no wonder people return here to holiday time and time again.
If you’re visiting West Sussex on holiday, the naval base city of Portsmouth has plenty to offer in terms of shopping, restaurants, and history. A very different vibe from the quaint cathedral city of Chichester, Portsmouth is home to historic docklands, ferry ports, and large shopping centers, with restaurant-lined waterfronts. If you like your shopping check out Gunwharf Quays, for an amazing view of Portsmouth visit the Spinnaker Tower and if you like your history The Mary Rose Museum and Portsmouth’s historic dockyard is for you.
Including Selsey, Birdham, Itchenor, Sidlesham, and Pagham, the Manhood Peninsula is home to picturesque seaside villages and well-known nature reserves. These villages provide an amazing base to explore the area. With lovely pubs, cafes, and shops, there’s also a range of butchers, greengrocers and delis stocking local produce. It’s also the perfect area to enjoy walking, sailing, wildlife, and water sports.
Goodwood is an estate covering 12,000 acres, just five minutes’ drive from the bustling cathedral city of Chichester. Set in the rolling hills of the Sussex Downs, this spectacular, location is home to world-famous car events like The Festival of Speed, Revival and Members Meeting. Goodwood is also home to its famous racecourse with horseracing on for most of the year.

East Wittering is a coastal village with a wider range of shops and restaurants.

Steeped in history and culture, Chichester has far more to offer than just shops and cafes. As part of your holiday, take a day to explore its cobbled streets, modern art, Roman Baths and stunning architecture.

Nestled at the foot of the South Downs, the City’s cathedral takes centre stage, with its 277ft spire visible from miles around. It’s also home to the internationally-recognised Pallant House Gallery and Festival Theatre – both drawing thousands of visitors and holiday makers to Chichester each year. Dotted with beautiful parks, boutiques and restaurants, it’s a city you’ll need far more than a day to explore.

Bracklesham Bay almost seamlessly merges with East Wittering, and this large coastal area has much to offer in terms of water sports, beaches, eateries and walks.
